Pongal celebration

Pongal is celebrated as a grand, open invitation to the wider community, welcoming every visitor free of charge. Students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 showcase and play traditional Tamil games, including uriyadi, bambaram, dhayam, mattu vandi, and oorvalam, keeping cultural heritage alive through joyful participation. The celebration has grown into one of the school’s most anticipated events, drawing an audience of 3,000 to 4,000 visitors each year.

Iftar celebration

In keeping with a deep respect for every faith represented within its community, the school hosts an Iftar celebration each year to honor its Muslim students, staff, and families. Delegates from various places join the occasion as members of the Muslim community lead prayers and share reflections on the importance of fasting. The evening concludes with a warm, shared supper as the day’s fast comes to an end, a quiet, meaningful expression of unity across faiths.

Eco Activity – Distribution of Cotton Flag

As part of its ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, the school conducts an annual cotton flag distribution drive, one among many eco-focused initiatives on its calendar. Students and teachers together distribute cotton flags, a durable, recyclable alternative, to government officials and members of the public, encouraging a shift away from single-use plastic and reinforcing sustainable habits well beyond the school gates.

Transport Day

Transport Day invites the school’s youngest learners to explore how the world moves. Children research and build their own transport-themed projects, then proudly exhibit their creations to parents and the public, a playful introduction to engineering and design thinking at an early age.

Out Campus Study

Learning extends well beyond the classroom through the school’s Out Campus Study program. Students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 take part in one-day excursions tailored to their class, from museums to science parks, while students in Grades 10 to 12 undertake more extensive journeys of three to five days to other states, building independence and a broader view of the world.

Mock Interview

To prepare graduating students for the world beyond school, Grade 12 students take part in a Mock Interview program designed to build genuine interview experience and confidence. Jungle Day

Dr. Kalam's Birthday

Dr. Kalam’s Birthday holds a place of particular pride in the school’s history. In a remarkable civic initiative, the school, together with its children, parents, and teachers, collected 30 lakh signatures from the public and submitted them to the government, advocating for Dr. Kalam’s birthday to be recognized as Student’s Day. That advocacy bore fruit: the government has since declared it so, and the school takes pride in having played a part in that outcome. Every year since, the day is celebrated as Student’s Day in honor of that legacy.
